Terms and Conditions
Winter Sports
Winter Sports (Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Bobsleigh, Cross-Country Skiing, Freestyle Skiing, Luge, Nordic Combined, Skating, Skeleton, Ski Jumping, Snowboarding)
-
All bets are settled on the official results/rankings of the International Ski Federation (FIS), the International Skating Union (ISU), the International Biathlon Union (IBU), the Official Olympic Committee, or any other governing body with authority for the event.
-
Subsequent disqualifications and/or appeals will not affect bets.
-
If the conditions of a specific event are changed from those originally listed by the governing body (e.g. altered official distance, fewer rounds, order of events), then bets will be void unless settlement of the bet(s) is already determined.
-
For Cross-Country and Biathlon: bets will be void if the official listed distance is changed (but will stand if the actual course distance is changed).
-
For Ski Jumping: results will stand if at least one round is completed in full (including re-starts). Winning Margin markets are excluded from this rule.
-
In-Play Ski Jumping: if an event is abandoned during the 2nd round, meaning the 1st round becomes the official result, any bets placed after completion of Round 1 will be void.
-
-
Suspended or postponed events: bets remain valid if completed on the same run/venue within 36 hours. If held at a different venue/run, bets will be void.
-
Participants must pass the start line/gate for bets to stand. If a competitor withdraws/disqualified prior to the event, Rule 4 (Deductions) may apply.
-
Bets on any participant who competes in qualifying but fails to reach the main round(s) will be settled as losers.
-
Settlement is based on the podium presentation. Subsequent disqualifications and/or appeals do not affect bets.
-
Nordic Combined: if provisional competition round results are used for cross-country start, all event bets are void.
-
Round/Jump 1 In-Play Markets: if abandoned before completion, bets are void unless outcome already determined.
-
Re-starts in Round/Jump 1: bets placed prior to the re-start are void unless already determined.
Group Betting
-
If one or more participants fail to start, bets are void. Dead-heat rules apply.
Winning Margin
-
Settled on official intervals/ranges.
-
If two or more tie for 1st, margin is determined against the next finishing position (e.g. two tie for 1st, margin measured to 3rd).
Finishing Position
-
If a participant fails to finish, settlement is “X Position or worse.”
Finish Both Runs (Alpine)
-
For multi-run events, participants must start both runs (unless not qualified for Round 2). If reduced to one run, bets void.
To Take Overall/Round 1 Lead
-
Dead-heat rules apply in case of tied times/jumps.
-
Abandonment prior to completion voids bets unless already determined.
Biathlon Specific
-
Shooting Performance: if a biathlete starts but does not finish, bets void unless outcome already determined.
-
Shooting Time (1st Shoot): settlement uses official timings from biathlonworld.com. If time lands exactly on quoted line, bets void.
Qualification Markets
-
Settled by official governing body results. Rankings are based on times/distances and/or FIS points.
-
If two participants tie in time, the one with fewer FIS points is winner. Where FIS points not applicable, ties settled as Push.
Match Betting
-
Both participants must leave the start line/gate.
-
For single-round events, official results used.
-
If disqualified/withdraws after starting, opponent deemed winner.
-
Round 1 match betting: both must start; abandonment before completion voids bets.
-
In-Play Ski Jumping: if abandoned in 2nd round (1st round becomes result), bets placed after completion of 1st round void.
-
For multi-round events:
-
If both fail to qualify for next round, settlement based on 1st round results.
-
If both qualify for next round but neither finishes, bets void.
-
Cross-Country sprint match-ups: settlement uses final official placing.
-
-
Biathlon Time Match-Ups: settlement on course time only (excludes shooting penalties).
-
Cross-Country Leg Match-Ups: settled on fastest specified leg time.
Medal Specials
-
Quoted athlete must start at least one race (qualifying counts). Team medals count unless otherwise stated.
Settlement of Wagers
-
Settled using official provider stats or competition website.
-
If unavailable or incorrect, independent evidence may be used.
-
If conflicting or inconsistent, Boltbet’s own statistics will be final.
